Since its inception in mid 2019, Lawyers for Climate Action NZ has developed a strong reputation for using the law to enable more effective action against climate change.

Together, we can use the law to ensure a better future. We rely entirely on donations for our work. Your donation will help:

  • Run novel court cases to hold politicians and corporations accountable

  • Shape the development of climate laws and policies

  • Enable us to provide communities with legal tools, knowledge and support to enable stronger climate action

  • Grow a community of climate-conscious lawyers who are part of the solution to climate change

  • Provide the operational support essential for Lawyers for Climate Action to carry out its work. Our lawyers all work on a zero-fee basis - but we need financial support to support the operational activities that make our work possible.

  • Alternatively, we accept donations directly by way of bank transfer - please email admin@lawyersforclimateaction.nz and we will send you our bank account details.

We are a registered charity, so donations are tax deductible. If you donate via the Net-Zero Fund, you will be automatically issued with a receipt for tax purposes. If you make a donation to us directly, please email admin@lawyersforclimateaction.nz and we will issue you a receipt.
